Career
Kincaid started his career during his sophomore year of high school. He ran for his school and became the fastest high school distance runner in his whole state. He also took part in many competitions and became the state finalist more than one time.
Despite his excellent performance, initially, he did not get calls from any colleges. So, his coach Natalie Reyes advised him to run in the Footlocker Cross Country race. He followed her advice and went to win the championship.
After this game, he got five calls from different colleges, offering him D-I programs just in one night.
He visited all of them, but he found the University Of Portland the most genuine one. So, he joined the University of Portland and started playing for the Portland Pilots.
However, his college career didn’t go well. He was so out of shape that he had to train with the slower guys. However, his coach, Rob Conner, saw potential in him and remained patient with him.
With some encouragement from his coach, Kincaid started taking his career as a runner seriously. He even tried for the 2016 Olympic trials but was not qualified.
