After knowing she wanted to work with Barstool Sports, its founder, Dave Portnoy, wanted to find out if she would fit in or not. So, he interviewed her.
During the interview, Krick jokingly mentioned that she wanted to interview Dave Portnoy, but one of the producers of USA TODAY rejected the idea.
In the same interview, she also mentions somewhere that The Big Lead was a part of the USA TODAY. However, Minute Media had already bought it.
