John Bolaris graduated in 1975 from Connetquot High School and got enrolled in Suffolk County Community College. He graduated from the college with a degree in an associate degree in 1980. 

After his graduation, Bolaris was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he attended  Weather Technical School and served as an advisor to pilots on weather conditions in the Air National Guard for three years.

Career

Meteorologist John began his career at Metro Weather Service in 1982 and worked there for five years.

He then became a television meteorologist for various tv channels such as News 12 Long Island,  WCBS,  CBS Evening News,  WCAU-TV,  Fox 29, Weekend Today, and NBC 10 for over eighteen years in his career. John Bolaris retired from meteorology in 2016.

After his retirement, John Co-founded BlackLabel Luxury Real Estate in the same year. The firm specializes in selling homes to celebrities, athletes, and CEOs and is famous for selling to high-profile clients such as Joel Embiid and Michael Raffl. The firm is considered to be one of the most successful firms in Long Island.
