He started taking part in the youth running track ever since he was just in grade second.

His love for running on the tracks just grew bigger and bigger with time. By the time he was in high school, he was already a state champion.

After completing high school, he joined college and started playing for the college’s team.

During his freshman year of college, Bednarek got an offer from Nike, which he accepted. Ever since then, he has been playing professionally.

Currently, the sprinter representing team USA in the Olympics is the beautiful Indian professional golfer, Sharmila Nicollet.

Bednarek confessed his relationship with Nicollet through Instagram by posting pictures of them spending summer vacation in 2020.

Education

Bednarek grew up in Rice Lake in Wisconsin. So, he did his schooling at Rice Lake High school.

After high school, he got recruitment offers from many colleges, but his grades were not enough.

So, he got into Indian Hills Community College in Iowa and started playing for the Indian Hills Warriors.

Career

Bednarek started taking part in running ever since he was just a kid studying in second grade.

As he grew, he started practicing more and more. His hard work paid off as he was a state champion many times during his high school days. He even set the record for high school time in 2018 with his time of 20.43 seconds.

He played for his high school team before moving to college. Once he was in Indian Hills Community College, he started playing for them. During his college games, he became the world’s second-fastest sprinter in 200m and the first fastest in the USA.

He initially played for the Indian Hills Warriors but later got an offer to start his professional career from Nike. He accepted the offer and moved to Florida for his further training.

After starting his professional career, one of his main games is the one he played for NJCAA.

During the NJCAA Championship, he ran 400m in 19.82 seconds with a -0.8 headwind. His timing in this game broke the previous record set by Tommie Smith Sprinter. To that day, only six athletes ran in a short time with a wind of negative speed, but  -0.8 was the strongest among all those winds.

Because of his excellent gameplay, he even received the title of the USATF Athlete of the Week in 2019.

Bednark continued his successful career and took part in the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship of 2019. During this game, he suffered an injury in his hamstring and had to jog to finish the game.

Despite his injury, he did not stay away from the tracks for so long. He returned and competed in the Diamond League but lost the gold to Noah Lyles

Bednarek again competed against Lyles in the recent Olympic trials held in Oregon. Unfortunately, even this time, he lost to Lyles just by a few milliseconds. Though Lyles won the game, he still managed to win second place and secured his position in the USA Olympic team. Erriyon finished third.

Now, just like Josephus Lyles, every American has put their hopes on him to show excellent performance in the Olympics.
