HoYeon was born and raised in South Korea but currently resides in the USA. She attended Hyewon Girls High school and thereafter went to Dongduk Women’s University. When she was in school, her focus was mainly on being an actress.

Career
HoYeon’s career actually began at 16 when her modeling career took off. She is a runway model having walked for big brands like Roberto Cavalli, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel, to name a few. She first appeared on-screen on season 4 of Korea’s Next Top Model in 2013 with fiery red hair, and there, she made a lasting impression. She did not win the title, but she was a runner-up, and it was enough to open the right doors for her. HoYeon then made her first international debut in 2016 for Louis Vuitton, the same year she relocated from Korea to pursue her modeling career. She has also appeared on the covers of Vogue Korea and Vogue Japan.
