Holloway earned his high school degree from Grassfield High school.

Once high school was over, he got into the University of Florida in 2017.

Career

The Bowerman Award winner started his career in high school under the direction of his father.

He trained under his father in the track 757 club and competed in many events on and off the track. He was an ace hurdler and sprinter but was also a four-star football player.

During his high school days, he set the national prep record in the 55m hurdles. He then showed his versatility by winning the top ten spot in seven different events on a single occasion. His name was on the top-ten list in the long jump, high jump, 60m hurdle, 55m hurdles, 55m dash, 300m dash, and finally in the 500m dash.

Holloway also led his school to become the state team champion by winning four state championships in the Virginia Group GA state meet.

He ended his high school career on a great note and continued it even after joining college.

However, in college, he focused more on hurdles and sprints. He set an undefeated 60m hurdle record and even won the NCAA Indoor championship.

He continued his career at a good pace before breaking through in 2019. He won three consecutive NCAA titles making him the first-ever track and athlete to achieve it.

He became one of the most versatile NCAA athletes and broke the forty-year-old record of former athlete Renaldo Nehemiah.

The same year, he ended his collegiate career and turned pro by signing a contract with Adidas.

Holloway then shifted his focus on making it to the 2020 US Olympics team. He then won his place in the team by winning gold in the trial games.
