Wheeler was a track and field athlete since elementary school.

She ran in her school when she was in Texas and continued it even after moving to Virginia.

While Wheeler was busy on the track and building her career as a fitness consultant, she received an offer to compete in the 42nd season of Survivor.

In the show, she showed extraordinary performance and always held some advantages.

She had the upper hand in the show until she decided to share her strategy with fellow contestant Omar Zapper, who backstabbed her.

Because of this, another contestant Mike blindsided her in the final seven, and she had to leave the show.

Though she could not make it further in the show, her departure became the most memorable.

Even the host declared that her departure was the most unique in the entire history of the show as she bid her farewell with a speech that was more like a pep talk for the remaining contestants.
