Wheeler completed her elementary school in Texas.

Later, her family moved to Virginia, where she completed high school at Lakewood High School.

She has shared that she moved to Canada after completing a degree in criminology at a university but has failed to share which institution she attended.

Career

Wheeler was a track and field athlete since elementary school.

She ran in her school when she was in Texas and continued it even after moving to Virginia.

During her time in Virginia, she even won the title of All-American as a track runner.

In high school, she was the athlete who received the most money for a full scholarship in her state.

She also was the state champion in high school.

Wheeler continued running even in university and had ACL surgery during her senior year.

After university, she moved to Canada, where she started working as a coach at McGill University.

She continued her training to compete in the Olympics, even after working as an assistant coach.
