Career
Cynthia has been working as a professional journalist for over a decade. Her first TV job was at KTAB-TV in Abilene, TX, where she worked for eight months followed by working with KLTV in Tyler, TX. Later, worked for KOAT-TV as a reporter and was promoted to weekend anchor after 6 months. She was then promoted to the morning show a year later and was again promoted to 5, 6, and 10 p.m. as the anchor later that year.
She has been producing and anchoring at WFAA News-Channel 8 since 2008. Since September 2020, Izaguirre had been out of the anchor chair and mostly off the air, and she eventually returned on Jan. 2, coincidentally, her 11th anniversary with the station. Currently, she is working as a co-anchor at WFAA News-Channel 8. Cynthia also serves as an anchor in the ‘Wednesday Child Report which highlights the reports on foster kids seeking homes.
