He is the eldest one among the ten children of Robert DeBarge and Etterlene DeBarge. His full name was Robert Louis DeBarge Jr. and was born on March 5, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan.
His siblings’ names are Etterlene, Thomas, William, Mark, Eldra, James, Jonathan, Darrel, and Carol. Besides, he also had five half-siblings from his dad’s extra-marital affairs.
Bobby was sentenced to five years in jail for drug trafficking charges when he was 22. He started taking drugs in his early years.
