Physical Measurements

Nicco Fertitta Personal Life And Family

The Notre Dame star was born in Las Angeles in Nevada to the billionaire chairman of Fertitta Capital, Lorenzo Fertitta, and his wife, Teresa Fertitta.

Lorenzo Fertitta is a business tycoon who owns the Red Rock Casino and is a renowned investor and philanthropist. He is also the third cousin of Tilman Fertitta, another billionaire businessman.

Nicco is the second son of Lorenzo Fertitta. He has an elder brother, Lorenzo Jr., and a younger sister Angelia.

Despite his father being into business, the football star grew in an athletic environment. His mother is a former professional boxer who inspired him and his little sister to start boxing.

Both the siblings started boxing, but only his sister continued it. Though Nicco loved boxing, he left it to try other sports.

He played soccer before learning how to box. However, he didn’t stick to one game and moved from soccer to boxing to baseball and then to basketball.

After trying many games, he finally settled for football after watching his elder brother play football in grade six.

His father loved football, so he got all the support from his father. But this was not the case for his mother.

His mother feared for the safety of other kids and even cried on occasions. She eventually came around and accepted his choice of career, though she never liked it.

His parents had their own opinion about football, but they always supported him in every game.

Maybe this was one of the many reasons Nicco was the star defense in the field despite being shorter and lighter than other players.

His passion, I’m going to take your head off the look, and work ethic made him a player to remember.

During his time on the field as a football player, he also showed the great potential of being a great coach.

His parents encouraged him to try coaching, and so didTony Sanchez, his high school coach.

He now works as the defensive back coach at his high school and is natural at his work.

Nicco Girlfriend and Relationship

Nicco Fertitta has been dating the former Miss NV Teen USA Alexa Taylor since 2015.

He made his relationship public with a picture of them together during the prom of his senior year in high school.

Ever since then, the couple has been together and is going strong to this day.

Education

The star football player went to Bishop Gorman High in his hometown to get his high school degree.

After high school, he got scholarships in many states like Hawaii, Boston, Arizona, etc.

However, he chose the scholarship offered by the University of Notre Dame, an elite school, as his family members were big fans of Notre Dame.

Nicco completed his college at the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Art history.

Career

Initially, Nicco started his journey in sports with soccer at the early age of seven or eight.

However, he left that and moved to football at ten after watching his elder brother play football.

He got inspired by his brother, and even his father supported him by saying that he only has to pass through people.

When he started playing, many people discouraged him. They pointed out that he was not bigger or taller like other players. However, he did not let it affect him.

Instead, he decided to work extra hard with great passion and ethics. Soon, he became one of the skillful safeties. His punch against the opposing teams and tackle through the game became his strength.

During his high school, he played a total of forty-five games and performed exceptionally well.

When he got enrolled in college, he continued his pace. In his sophomore year, he tackled in all ten games that he played.

It continued even in the Junior year as he had many tackles to his name. He also similarly ended his senior year on a good note.

When his collegiate career was over, he took some time off as he played football all his life. He wanted to quit the game altogether but instead decided to return home and work in student sports.

He then joined his high school, where he was once a student, as its defensive back coach. Brent Browner, after he was appointed the new head coach, hired Nicco.

Nicco has known Browner since he was in eighth grade. Browner had coached him in the past and knew he could make a great coach.
