Career

Gorani started her career in journalism with LA Voix du Nord and Agency Frace-Presse as a reporter.

She worked with these establishments before joining France-3 in 1995. She worked for France-3 for three years and then joined the CNN group in 1998.

On CNN, she got offered the job of the anchor of CNN Today, a European breakfast show.

She gradually became more familiar with her workplace and got the offer to work as a reporter in the Middle Eastern countries.

She even hosted the show Inside the Middle East for five years, where she talked about different issues of the Middle East, including the struggles of gay people.

Inside the Middle East became the first show to ever talk about gay people of the Middle East internationally. It also got nominated for the GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Award.

Besides covering the issues of the Middle East, Gorani also covered many other historical events.
