The late voice actress had a very successful career where her fans loved her and grew up by listening to her voice.

Her show was a hit and loved by every kid who watched the cartoon network. It helped her earn tons of fans worldwide and also a great fortune.

Thea White Personal Life and Family

White was born in Newark in New Jersey and spent her childhood there. But when she was twelve, her family moved to North Caldwell.

Her father was Authur Zitzner, and her mother was the actress Eleanor Hazard. White got acting from her mother’s side of the family as both her mother and her maternal grandmother were actresses.

She also started acting when she was just seventeen years old. She performed on Broadway and plays and loved working there.

It was also during one of her plays that she met her husband. She took time off from acting after her marriage before coming back as a voice actress.

She started working as Murriel in the hit show, Courage the Cowardly Dog on the cartoon network. Everyone loved her voice as well as her character.

She gave her voice in the show until the show got canceled in 2002. She had a great career and a married life.

However, her husband died in 2015 from a stroke. Though she was now a widow, she still cherished her time and kept giving her voice for any addition to her previous show.

She even gave her voice to the crossover movie of Courage the Cowardly Dog and Scooby-Doo just this year.

All these years, she enjoyed her career and kept in touch with her fans one way or another until she was diagnosed with liver cancer.

She underwent treatment for it in the Cleveland Clinic and got surgery on the 28th of July. However, after two days of her surgery, she passed away after a complication arose because of infection.

Her brother, John, shared the news of her death through his Facebook, which made millions of fans of Muriel sad. Her fans even paid tribute to her through various means.

Thea Husband and Relationship

Thea married her husband, Andy White, in 1983. They met each other for the first time in one of her plays.

Andy was a professional drummer who played for many renowned bands, including The Beatles.

He was the drummer for The Beatles in their song, Love Me Do. He even was part of many world tours.

The couple was happily married for thirty-two years until Andy died because of a stroke. He was eighty-five years old when he died in Cleveland.

Education

The voice actress of Muriel was a qualified woman. She completed her school-level education at one of the local high schools in her area.

After high school, she joined the Royal Academy of dramatic art to study acting. She also got enrolled in the American Theater Wing.

Career

White started her career in 1957 when she was just seventeen years old. She initially performed on stages, theaters, and Broadway in Dallas, Texas.

During this time, she also worked for the talented actress and singer Marlene Dietrich as her assistant.

However, after marrying her husband Andy, White took leave from acting, and the couple opened a theater together.

While running the theater, White also worked at the Livingston Public Library as a librarian and an outreach specialist.

After working for some time, she decided to return to acting as a voice actor. She then got a part in the show Courage the Cowardly Dog in 1999. Since then, she has lent her voice to the loving and caring human, Muriel of the pinkish wimpy dog, Courage.

She was the voice of Muriel in all of the episodes of the show. She even voiced Murield during other extended portions of the show, like the Fog of Courage.

Though Courage the Cowardly Dog was the show she was known for, she also lent her voice in other shows like Scooby-Doo: The Legend of the Phantosaur. She was the voice of Aunt Margaret. She was also the voice behind Cartoon Network Racing, a video game.

White got a lot of love for her voice as Muriel. So, when a crossover movie between Courage and Scooby-Doo got planned, she gave her voice all over again. 

It was her last project before her heartbreaking death, which made a whole generation tearful.
