Career

Twight started his career as a climber in his 20s after being convinced for no reason that he wouldn’t live past the age of 26.

He was initially scared of heights, but he didn’t want to waste his time being scared. So, he challenged himself with climbing.

He became part of many climbing trips. He succeeded in some and failed in others. 

However, as a climber, he achieved several great things even if he didn’t succeed in his all climbing. He became the first and last person with Randy Rackliff to ascend The Reality Bath. He also became the fastest to climb the Slipstream.

Along with this, Twilight even completed a 39-hour non-stop North Buttress ascend, which is one of the achievements in the single push movement.

As a climber, he traveled throughout the USA, Europe, and even Asia and became one of the most prominent climbers of the late 80s and early 90s.

Besides climbing, Twight also shared his experience as a climber through his two books, Extreme Alpinism: Climbing Light, Fast, and High and Kiss or Kill-Confession of a Serial Climber.

He received the national outdoor award and Mountain Exposition Award for his first book. His second book also got shortlisted for the Trento Mountain Book festival held in Italy.

Twilight spent a magnificent twenty years of his life as a climber. After retiring, he wanted to share the determination and courage he gained as a climber.

He then worked as a trainer for the military and intelligence service. He even worked for the USSOM as a Subject Matter Expert and helped design clothes for the harsh cold weather.

After working for several years as a trainer for the government personnel, Twight decided to start a gym where he could even train the civilians and co-founded the Gym Jones with his former wife.

He looked after the gym for a while before leaving it to his former wife, who now runs it.

While all this was going on, Twight was also actively working for the Warner Brothers productions. He was training the cast and crews of several projects of the Warner Brothers.
